Animals that don't have a backbone are called simple invertebrates. Sponges are simple invertebrates that live on the ocean floor like on rocks and other objects on the ocean floor. But if the sponges are damaged its cells regrow into a new sponge that is called regeneration. Whew nelly lots of words. Have you seen a living sponge it is cool right? Do you think it would be cool to have no backbone. Then you could see someone puke! Humans do have a backbone. . . boring. See you again next time.
